Most of us, at one time or another, have seen pictures of or read
about natural disasters striking Vietnam, resulting in floods, loss
of lives, epidemics, homelessness and hunger. Aside from offering
cash and medicine to relatives in Vietnam, it appears that we can
do little to alleviate the miseries that our people have been suffering
frequently.
Indeed, long-lasting, effective help could include other means.
In order for the fundamental changes that can improve people's lives
to take roots in Vietnam, the tenor of assistance should start shifting
the emphasis from immediate to long-term. To improve the quality
of life and health of our people, food and medicine are still needed,
but the hunger and thirst for technical knowledge is also required.
One of the keys to meeting the growing need for technical knowledge
in Vietnam, we believe, is a knowledge-booster database, maintained
and contributed by a community of caring people from all walks of
life.
This bilingual knowledge-booster database would contain factual
and practical educational materials in many fields, with easy-to-understand
articles appearing first as introductions to the subjects, followed
by links to more in-depth studies.
In today's world, knowledge is power; knowledge is wealth; knowledge
is the key enabler in fulfilling goals. We strongly believe that
Tri' Viet is the extraordinary tool not only in providing Vietnamese
people in Vietnam a fast track in gaining knowledge on subject matters,
but also in improving their lives in the long term.

To build a bilingual web-based knowledge sharing centre dedicated
to Vietnamese people in Vietnam.
Design, management, upgrading and maintenance of the website and
contributions to it are to be done by those knowledgeable and caring
Vietnamese living abroad.

Tri' Viet's database would contain knowledge in many subject matters,
ranging from agriculture to biotechnology, fishery management to
software development, etc... Access to this database is free.

Given the fact that this is a large and complex project requiring
many years of incubation, planning and development, depending on
the level of support from concerning people around the world, a
certain level of groundwork is needed to lay a solid foundation.
If you share the same sentiment or dreams, join our team and help
us build Tri' Viet. Together we can make the dreams happen sooner.
